Are you planning a visit to London?

Are you struggling with the TFL (Transports For London) website? You don't know which Travelcard would work better for your trip?

Something that I've learnt since I live here in London is that the city is not as huge as I thought!

Once you know it a little better you realize how the city is built, and visiting it will be much easier!

But to help you with it, I have a secret!

Hands up if you've ever seen the famous London tube map!

Of course, you have!

With all those colorful lines running across it, it's now one of the most famous symbols of London.

It is a very helpful tool to discover the city without getting lost, but it's not the only way!

In my opinion, the best way to visit a city is to WALK! Especially now that it's almost summer!

Well, if you now pay more attention to the map on the top of this article, you'll realize that there's something different from the one you are used to... there are some numbers between the tube stops, isn't it?

Exactly, this is a WALKING MAP!!

The numbers between the stops mean the minutes walk between the stations, in order to make you understand how far is a station from the next one.

In this way, you'll realize if you really need to use the transports or you can just walk a bit and enjoy the view :)

Avoiding the transports also allows you to discover something new, to get some good pictures and to save a lot of money and stress, especially during the busy hours (8-9am and 5.30-6:30pm and during weekends in particular).

On the TFL website is also available the steps map, that actually indicates how many steps between the stations! Maybe less intuitive, but it could be interesting to have a look at it as well.
