Il Fico
Already from the name of this restaurant you might understand that it's not really a typical French restaurant...
In fact, for my birthday dinner we have been to IL FICO and we had an amazing Italian dinner.
In particular, their cuisine comes from the region of Sardinia (you should know the beautiful Italian island)!
I have to say that, even if I am not from that part of Italy, I could have a good understanding of the standards of the restaurants, since, in my short French trip, I was also with the company of Gloria and Manuel, my Sardinian friends, who gave us suggestions on the menu and their personal comments on the quality of the food.
(I'll leave at the end of the article the final verdict ;) )
Starting from the first impression, the restaurant looks really attractive from the outside.

As you can see also from the picture, it looks quite small, but they also have some tables upstairs.
In any case, we booked the table and we figured out when we got there that it was a good idea, considering the central position of the restaurant and its popularity.
Talking about what is really interesting... THE FOOD.
As proper Italians, we started from some starters to share.

Fried vegetables and spritz
We were really uncertain, because every single plate proposed seem really attractive, but at the end we had a plate of fried vegetables composed of courgettes' flowers and broccoli with a glass of Aperol Spritz, and some typical salami with dried tomatoes, peppers and cheese.
Everything was really good, especially the fried vegetables! They were tasty, crunchy and not oily at all. I really suggest to get them if you decide to go there!
The most difficult decision was for the mains.
I had half portion of the Culurgiones cacio e pepe (a traditional pasta from Sardinia) and half of black ravioli filled with crustacean.
Every single plate was very accurate, tasty and prepared following the traditional recipes (as suggested by my friends).

Culurgiones cacio e pepe
And to finish with... It doesn't matter how full you can be... there's always room for a dessert ;)
We had some Seadas, a traditional fried dessert form Sardinia, with cheese inside and milk on the top... something really delicious!!!

Seadas
MY RATING:
The price was good, according to the quality of the food and the service, considering also the central position of the restaurant.
Good service, attentive and fast enough, without rushing and giving us the possibility and the time to enjoy our food and our night out.
With not even a doubt, the quality of the food was very high, and we had the pleasure to notice that the recipes and the tastes have not been changed according to the local habits, maintaining the Sardinian's traditions.
